The Cleveland Cavaliers (7-6) visit the Philadelphia 76ers (10-3) for an In-Season Tournament game Tuesday. But the Cavaliers won’t be at full strength. Their top dog Donovan Mitchell remains out with a hamstring injury according to Spencer Davies on X. Davies, with Cavs Insider, also reported that Isaac Okoro and Ty Jerome remain out. Caris LeVert is questionable.

On the Sixers side of things, only Kelly Oubre Jr. (rib) is listed on the team’s current report. That means Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, De’Anthony Melton and co. will take on the likes of Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. We’ll hang on LeVert’s status for now.

We’re now in the “group stage” of In-Season Tournament play. Philadelphia is 2-1 in the NBA’s new tournament so far. But because they lost to the Indiana Pacers, the Sixers are now in a bit of a tough spot. They’ll have to beat the Cavs and then hope Indiana loses to both the Hawks and Pistons.

Philadelphia will still have their hands full slowing down Garland. But at least there won’t be double All-Star trouble in the back court for the road team now with Spida banged up.

Embiid is the current league points-per-game leader with 31.9 through 13 contests. Mitchell comes in No. 8 averaging 29.2, and for those counting, Tyrese Maxey ranks 13th overall with 26.8. Maxey has been playing like a true star so far this season, and hopefully the 23-year-old can keep it up vs. the Cavs.
