The plot thickens!
James Harden is reportedly back with the Philadelphia 76ers after 10 days away from the team, as first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The news comes after Harden had missed practice all of last week due to what was being called a personal matter by the Sixers.
After being away that long and having not set foot on the court during the preseason for the Sixers, it seemed highly unlikely the team will be in a hurry to force him into playing in the team’s regular season opener tomorrow night at the Milwaukee Bucks. According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, Harden was able and willing to travel to Milwaukee, but the team reportedly would prefer he stay back to continue his ramp up to play.
Update: James Harden will not travel with the team to Milwaukee today, sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport. He will remain in Philadelphia to continue his ramp up. https://t.co/C7tyGZETxM

he Sixers and Los Angeles Clippers remain at odds with one another on a possible deal to move Harden, who still desires to be a Clipper.
It’s possible Harden is just looking to avoid fines incurred from not fulfilling the duties of his contract. It’s also possible Harden had a personal matter to attend to. But he’s back nonetheless. In what capacity he has returned, however, we will have to wait and see.
