Coming off a brutal three-game road trip, the Sixers returned home and have ripped off five straight wins. Joel Embiid and James Harden are both playing well and seem to be developing more and more chemistry. Key members of the supporting cast like Tobias Harris and De’Anthony Melton have stepped up while the team continues to get healthier. And as a whole the Sixers’ team defense has been much better as of late, now ranking third in the NBA in defensive rating (108.5) — though the schedule for this seven-game homestand hasn’t exactly been daunting and their opponents have had bad injury luck.
