When Ivica Zubac joined Kawhi Leonard on the sidelines for Monday night’s Game 5, everyone assumed Phoenix would wrap the series up at home. Paul George had other ideas, though, exploding for a playoff career-high 41 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists. With Reggie Jackson continuing his Mr. June act and Marcus Morris channeling prime Carmelo with an array of mid-range jumpers, the Clippers were able to delay Chris Paul’s first NBA Finals berth by at least another two days. Now, if Phoenix wants to put things away tonight, they’ll have to do it on the road. It’s not like Paul has any previous history with 3-1 leads going down the tubes, right?
Follow along with tonight’s Game 6 action in the comments.
