As Sixers fans nervously await Sunday night’s Game 7 back in Philadelphia, the team’s potential opponent in the Eastern Conference Finals will be determined tonight in Brooklyn. This series has been wild, to put it mildly. It started out with Brooklyn running rampant over the Bucks, and with a couple minutes left in Game 3, we were close to the Nets going up 3-0 and things essentially over. Milwaukee prevailed, though, and also won Game 4, when Kyrie Irving joined James Harden on the injury list. Suddenly, everyone assumed it was Brooklyn who was finished. But even though a hobbled Harden returned to do a Weekend at Bernie’s impression in Game 5, it was a historic 49-point triple-double while playing all 48 minutes from Kevin Durant that stole the show. Then, Harden played better in Game 6, but Milwaukee still won easily to stay alive.
So here we are — Game 7. Winner is eight wins away from a title in an increasingly wide-open field. This is sports entertainment at its finest. Tune in and follow along in the comments.
