Tonight, the Sixers took care of business on the road as Philly beat the Mavericks, 113-95.
This was a sound, start-to-finish victory over a good team and an overall impressive performance from Doc Rivers’ squad, as the Sixers improved to a whopping 20 games over .500 (37-17) in sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference. It was the team’s second victory over the Mavericks in two meetings. The Sixers only turned the ball over 9 times, to Dallas’ 15. Luka Doncic got his (mainly against Sixers not named Ben Simmons, I’ll add) with 32 points in 33 minutes, although he was -17 on the court.
On to the Bell Ringer!
Joel Embiid: 36 pts, 7 reb, 2 ast, 14/15 FT, 2/3 3pt, 26 mins
Embiid was absolutely devastating tonight. Turnarounds, threes, midrange, drawing fouls. Great defense. The full Joel experience. Dallas had no answer for him, despite trying four different centers on the MVP candidate at different points in the game.

Furkan Korkmaz: 20 pts, 2 stl, 7/10 FG, 4/7 3pt, 18 mins
Korkmaz has had it going on lately. Love to see it. He was instant offense off the bench tonight for the Sixers, as the Turk continues to stake his claim for postseason minutes. Also, how about the Korkmaz defense lately? Not bad! Getting his hands in passing lanes, using his 6’7 frame to body up to guys. Well done.

Shake Milton: 10 pts, 5 ast, 1 stl, +16, 24 mins
It might go overlooked, but I thought this was a really solid performance for Shake off the bench tonight. He played under control throughout, only turned the ball over once, and played heavy minutes with 4/5 of the starting crew while Danny Green took a rest in the first half. Shake also withstood a blow to the head while attempting a layup, which thankfully seems that it didn’t hurt him in any serious way.
