Matisse Thybulle is the latest Sixer to enter the NBA’s health and safety protocols. The third-year guard is listed as out for Saturday night’s game in Chicago.

Thybulle joins Tobias Harris and Isaiah Joe in the health and safety protocols. Both players remain out. Ben Simmons (personal reasons) also remains out. So are Jaden Springer and Aaron Henry while they’re on assignment with the Blue Coats. Two-way player Grant Riller continues to recover from left knee surgery.

Danny Green (left hamstring tightness) and Furkan Korkmaz (right wrist soreness) are listed as questionable. Green has missed the last two games while Korkmaz didn’t suit up against the Pistons.

It’s possible the Sixers will only have eight players available against the 6-2 Bulls. Of those eight players, three are centers (Joel Embiid, Andre Drummond, Charles Bassey). Doc Rivers had to get creative in Detroit Thursday, using a lineup that featured Drummond, Paul Reed and Georges Niang.

Somehow, Rivers might have to find a way to work Bassey in, simply to lessen the load on a guy like Tyrese Maxey, who played 44 minutes against the Pistons and 37 against the Bulls.

This is very reminiscent of the home game against Denver last season where Mike Scott dressed while injured to avoid the Sixers having to forfeit.

Maybe we get another 39-point Maxey game?
