Just about two days out from the Philadelphia 76ers’ regular-season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans, Sixers fans are more optimistic now than they were this summer.

Meanwhile, 38 percent of fans maintain the same opinion entering the regular season, while eight percent of fans feel worse about the team.
September and October blooms eternal hope around the NBA, and that appears to be the case here. Sometimes, that hope is justified, and the initial results will manifest soon. What exactly this Sixers team looks like is closely correlated to Ben Simmons, whether it’s the version of himself that takes the court — if he takes the court — or any return in a trade. But regardless, a new season has brought with it better vibes among the fan base than existed back in the summer.
