Joel Embiid will play in the Philadelphia 76ers’ game against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday evening, according to Derek Bodner of The Athletic.
Joel Embiid, who was questionable with neck stiffness, will play tonight.

Embiid played only 16 minutes in the Sixers’ 119-107 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, exiting at halftime with neck stiffness. Without any more information to go on, my assumption is that Embiid was evaluated by the team’s medical staff this morning, eased any concerns about his neck and was cleared to play.
You may be wondering: while they were at it with Embiid, did the medical staff ever get around to giving physical examinations to Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III, who the Sixers traded for three days ago and are yet to be cleared? There’s been no update this morning on the two newly acquired wings’ availability, but Kyle Neubeck of Philly Voice reported Saturday evening that there’s a possibility Burks and Robinson could be upgraded to available.
Burks and GRIII are arriving in Philly soon, and will undergo physicals tomorrow morning to complete trade process. Considered out for tomorrow as of right now but my understanding is their availability could change pending completion of the physical process.

Given that Embiid injury news has already come out, you would think Burks and GRIII news wouldn’t be far behind if they were going to play. Nothing yet, we shall see.
