Confidence is sky high in Philadelphia right now as the 76ers gear up for the start of the regular season.
After losing in the first round last season, 76ers fans are confident the team made the necessary moves to improve the team. According to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey, a full 100 percent of responding 76ers fans said the team got better over the offseason.
Additionally, 73 percent of fans said they would the 76ers’ front office an “A” grade.

The biggest addition to any team over the offseason was All-Star point guard Chris Paul going to the Suns, according to fans around the country.

Despite things seeming to improve, the 76ers still have a difficult test ahead of them this season. The Reacts power rankings, powered by fans nationally, ranked Philadelphia No. 9 in the NBA. That puts the Sixers as the sixth team in the Eastern Conference.

I expect the Sixers to be a better team than they were last season (when they finished 6th in the East), but through addition by subtraction rather than talent level — this roster is more cohesive. Even with that said, the East is looking stacked at the top this year and it wouldn’t be a shock if the Sixers don’t finish in the top four. (In our SB Nation season preview, I have the Sixers finishing 5th in the East.) It’s going to be a highly competitive race for seeding and we could see a much improved Sixers squad still struggle to land home court advantage in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
