Nearly five months and one Bubble experience later, the night originally scheduled for June 25 is finally here: the 2020 NBA Draft! In a draft class with no surefire can’t-miss prospects, and where traditional scouting and talent evaluation has needed to adapt to this year unlike any other, things could get a little wild and unpredictable.
The Philadelphia 76ers and new President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey have already been busy tonight in sending Al Horford, a lightly-protected 2025 first-round pick, the 34th overall pick in tonight’s draft, and the rights to Vasilije Micic to Oklahoma City along with a first- and a second-round pick for Danny Green and Terrance Ferguson. The Sixers still have the following selections:
- 21st overall
- 36th overall
- 49th overall
- 58th overall
Will Morey be able to land another star? Or will he make smaller moves to begin the process of restocking the franchise’s war chest of assets? And who will be the fresh, young faces in the Sixers’ latest rookie class?
Televised coverage kicks off at 8:00pm ET on ESPN. We’ll also be doing a live draft show on YouTube; link to be posted on Twitter. Follow along with all the NBA Draft action below in the comments.
