NBA Finals Game 2 Thread

Can a wounded Heat team pull off an upset?

Two teams not coached by Doc Rivers will take the floor tonight in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers topped the Miami Heat, 116-98, to take the initial game of the series. Aside from falling behind 1-0, the worse news for Miami is that both Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo suffered injuries and will miss tonight’s Game 2. Dragic suffered a plantar tear in his left foot and it’s doubtful he will be able to return during these Finals. Bam has a neck strain and might be able to return for Game 3, but Anthony Davis should have a field day in his absence tonight.

LeBron James is eyeing that fourth ring and people seem ready to hold Los Angeles’ coronation ceremony in the wake of these Heat injuries. The Lakers are 10.5-point favorites tonight, and with Jimmy Butler a little banged up himself with a sprained ankle, Miami is going to need explosive performances from its supporting cast. Unless the likes of Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and Kendrick Nunn go off in a big way tonight, we could be looking at these Finals wrapping up very quickly.
