Sixers vs. Lakers Injury Report: Anthony Davis questionable, Embiid and Richardson out

NBA: Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia 76ers

Joel Embiid is out as he continues rehabbing from surgery on a torn tendon in the ringer finger of his left hand. The latest on Embiid sounds pretty optimistic and the plan is for Embiid to be re-assessed after the weekend.

Josh Richardson is out with a left hamstring strain. Richardson strained his hamstring four minutes into the Sixers’ Wednesday night loss to the Toronto Raptors. The latest on Richardson is that he’ll be re-evaluated in two to three weeks.

Norvel Pelle (two-way) and Marial Shayok (two-way) are with the Delaware Blue Coats of the G League.

Los Angeles Lakers

DeMarcus Cousins is out as he rehabs from a right knee injury. He has not played this season.

Anthony Davis is questionable as he deals with a “gluteus maximus contusion”. He suffered the injury after a hard fall against the New York Knicks and it caused him to miss five games. While he’s played in the Lakers’ last three games, the injury is still bothering him.

JaVale McGee is questionable with flu-like symptoms. He missed the Lakers’ Thursday night win against the Brooklyn Nets.

Kyle Kuzma is listed as probable as he deals with a sore ankle.

Rajon Rondo is listed as probable. He’s been dealing with a right finger injury that costs him three games from Jan. 13th to Jan. 18th, but he’s played in the Lakers last three.

Kostas Antetokounmpo (two-way), Devontae Cacok (two-way), and Talen Horton-Tucker (on assignment) are with the South Bay Lakers of the G League.
