Shout out to Liberty Ballers community member gramercy riffs, who has already made a fanpost about a Sixers intrasquad fantasy draft. We’re tweaking his idea a bit and putting the draft to a community vote in this exercise.

Our previous edition of the Sixers intrasquad fantasy draft saw the closest three-way split of votes we’ve had to date. Ultimately, rookie wing Matisse Thybulle was selected to join Ben Simmons and Josh Richardson on Sixers White, receiving 32 percent of the vote to edge out James Ennis (27 percent) and Kyle O’Quinn (24 percent).

Readers were clearly encouraged by a strong performance from Thybulle during Vegas Summer League, one that saw him flash the disruptive defense we saw at Washington (3.2 stocks per game), while also knocking down 39.3 percent of his 3-point attempts. This quote from Thybulle about his shooting was one of my favorites of the offseason:

If Matisse can be even a league-average shooter from 3 during his rookie year, he’ll find his way into the rotation given his upside on the defensive end of the court. Knocking down shots is crucial to his ability to play alongside Simmons, both in actual on-court play and our hypothetical tournament here.

Now, Sixers Blue is on the clock for two straight picks, and I’m intrigued as to who readers think should be placed around Tobias Harris and Al Horford. That duo already has more shooting than either of our other two squads. Do you double down and try and create a five-out system with Horford at center where everyone can fire away from deep? Or, like the real-world Sixers, would you prefer to create a Kaiju army and upsize with Harris at small forward? You have two selections to sort through it all.

Sixers Red: Joel Embiid, Mike Scott, Zhaire Smith
Sixers White: Ben Simmons, Josh Richardson, Matisse Thybulle
Sixers Blue: Tobias Harris, Al Horford

Who should join Tobias Harris and Al Horford on Sixers Blue?

With the ninth pick, Sixers Blue selects:
