With Embiid and Simmons off the board, who should captain the third intrasquad team?

Shout out to Liberty Ballers community member gramercy riffs, who has already made a fanpost about a Sixers intrasquad fantasy draft. We’re tweaking his idea a bit and putting the draft to a community vote in this exercise.

It has been about 50 Bryce Harper homers since our last post documenting the Sixers intrasquad fantasy draft. With a lot of folks getting together this weekend with friends and family for their fantasy football drafts, it seemed like a good time to return to this exercise. As a reminder, we’re choosing three teams of five players in a snake draft format from among the Sixers’ current 15-man roster, then eventually voting on who would be the best group in an intrasquad scrimmage format. Joel Embiid rolled with 92 percent of the vote to captain the first squad, and Ben Simmons received support from 83 percent of respondents to lead the second team. Now, we reach the intriguing part of this exercise.

The Sixers offer a few different directions for how to go with the third pick. You could opt to start the third team with the best rim protector on the board in Al Horford, the top bucket-getter left in Tobias Harris, or the most experienced perimeter defender available in Josh Richardson. Or maybe a projected bench guy really strikes your fancy, who am I to judge? While the snake draft format does mean the next two selections will both be on the same squad, I’m still very curious who the Liberty Ballers community will choose here.

Who should captain the Sixers Blue squad?
