After first falling behind by as many as 31 points, the Philadelphia 76ers forced overtime against the Oklahoma City Thunder, only to see the Thunder take the win 84-81. The Sixers’ Summer League record sits at 1-2, with the 3-0 Detroit Pistons up next on the schedule.
Zhaire Smith led the Sixers in points with 18 on 8 of 19 from the field to go along with 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals (he did have 4 turnovers). Matisse Thybulle was next with 14 points on 4 of 10, adding on 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks (he also had 4 turnovers). Shake Milton struggled for a third straight game, and left the contest for good just before half after twisting his ankle. It’s not a great look for Shake that without him in the 2nd half, the Sixers erased a 31-point deficit.
The Sixers will take on the Pistons on Wednesday, July 10th at 3:00 pm EST. The game will air on NBA TV.
