The Philadelphia 76ers had an... interesting 2nd round performance in last night’s NBA Draft. One word to describe it would be ‘passive’. And then once the draft concluded, they again seemed to be reserved, this time in regards to undrafted free agents. But it seems the Sixers have finally come to an agreement with an undrafted free agent: Mark Deeks of ShamSports.com is reporting that the Sixers will sign Christ Kourmadje, a 7’4” center out of Florida State.
The Philadelphia 76ers will sign Christ Koumadje, undrafted 7'4 centre out of Florida State, to a free agent deal. Koumadje started all 37 games last season and averaged 6.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 15.5 minutes per game.

Koumadje doesn’t even appear on most big boards and I have no familiarity with his game. Considering the stats listed in Deeks’ tweet, the undrafted status of Koumadje and the fact that 16 MPG was the highest single season average of any of Koumadje’s four years at Florida State, I think it is fair to assume he’s quite the project and far from being a serviceable NBA player.
The pros? He is very, very tall at 7’4”. His first name is “Christ” which I assume is pronounced like your typical “Chris” with a T added to the end, but I’m hoping is actually pronounced like the Christian god’s son. 1.4 blocks in 15.5 minutes per game is impressive.
Update: Seemingly in response to Deeks’ tweet, Kyle Neubeck reported that the Sixers, so far, only plan to roster Koumadje for Summer League and have not come to an agreement “on any sort of deal”.
Christ Koumadje will join the Sixers' Summer League team, but no plans (yet) beyond that on any sort of deal, I'm told
