Sixers look to start series strong in Toronto

The Sixers are set to take on the Raptors in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals

NBA: Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The day has come. The Philadelphia 76ers are taking on the Toronto Raptors tonight, and I’m so ready.

Nobody is picking the Sixers to win. They haven’t played the Raptors since before Tobias Harris was a Sixer, but they went 1-3 in their four matchups this season, with the only win coming when Kawhi Leonard was out. In games they’ve played against Leonard in his career, they’re 0-13.

That’s fine by me. No one picked the Eagles to win either. The Sixers have plenty of talent, and this should be the start of a fun, hard-fought series.

There are so many angles to consider, so here are some links to some great work my fellow Liberty Ballers have done to prepare for this series.

Sixers-Raptors Playoff Preview: The Joel Embiid-Marc Gasol matchup - Tom West

Ranking the 16 Best Players in the Sixers-Raptors Series - Kevin Love

Ben vs. Kawhi: the matchup that could define the Sixers-Raptors series - Matt del Rio

A Moment of Truth for Sixers Brett Brown - Adio Royster

Sixers vs. Raptors: Second Round Rotations - Justin Carter, PhD.

How do you attack a hyper aggressive Raptor? Use their energy against them - Dave Early

These are all great looks into the biggest storylines of the series, and every single one is worth a read.
