Sixers get set to wrap up regular season against Bulls

Game 82. We made it.

The Philadelphia 76ers get set to host the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night in the second half of a back-to-back. Last night, they lost by 23 to the Heat in a completely meaningless game.

Tonight’s game is of no importance in the standings, as the Sixers are locked into the three seed in the East, and win or lose, the Bulls will have the fourth-worst record in the NBA.

That said, the game is still worth watching. Sixers youngsters will get abundant minutes, and rookie Zhaire Smith could possibly play himself into a few playoff minutes with a good game.

While the Sixers’ playoff position is set, their opponent is still to be determined. We’ll have our eyes elsewhere tomorrow night as the Brooklyn Nets take on the Miami Heat and the Orlando Magic take on the Charlotte Hornets.

A Brooklyn win or an Orlando loss means the Sixers will face the Nets in round one. However, a Brooklyn loss and an Orlando win means the Sixers play the Magic.

As the Sixers limp to the end of the regular season, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for good health. The final score means nothing, but the Sixers entering the playoffs at full strength means everything.
