Ladies and gentleman, it has finally happened: Ben Simmons hit a three-pointer. Not in a preseason game, not in an open gym session, but in a real, regular season game that mattered.

That was cathartic. Or At least it was for me. Hopefully it has the same effect on Ben. For many fans, the most frustrating part of Ben’s shooting hasn’t so much been that he’s not good at it but that he’s not even willing to try. So really, how could we know for sure he can’t get to a level that opens up his game? Maybe now Simmons has gotten the monkey of his back. That looked smooth enough and it looked effortless, no reason he can’t take start taking one or two of those a game.
