News dropped this morning that Sixers head coach Brett Brown now has an entire country ready to blame him for losses, while coincidentally forgetting he’s the coach for wins. To the Woj Bomb:
Australia is finalizing an agreement with Sixers coach Brett Brown to become its national team coach again, sources tell ESPN. Brown would coach Aussies in 2020 Olympics. Brown coached Australia in 2012 London Games.

Brown was previously the head coach of the Australian national team from 2009 to 2012, guiding the Boomers to to the quarterfinals of those 2012 Olympic games in London. Prior to that stint, he was an assistant coach from 1995 to 2003, on the staff for both the 1996 and 2000 Olympics. Brown’s basketball connections with the country tie back to his 14 years spent as a coach in the Australian professional league.
Australia has a formidable international squad, most recently losing in overtime to Spain in the semifinals of this year’s FIBA World Cup, before then falling in the third-place match to France. Things get even more interesting for Sixers fans with the possibility that Ben Simmons will participate with the Australian team for the Olympics. He was thought to be joining the Boomers for the FIBA World Cup, but dropped out in July to prepare for the upcoming NBA season. Many people thought it was a sign Simmons was concentrating on his outside shot to unleash this season, and...well...I’m not going there in this post. Jonah Bolden is also potentially in the mix for the Australian national squad.
Good for Brett. The international stage can only help his prestige in NBA circles, which ultimately helps the Sixers.
After a hoax jersey featuring a gold stripe originally made the internet circles today, the Sixers unveiled their new City Edition uniforms earlier this evening at the 76ers Crossover art exhibit. Team president Chris Heck posted a picture of the new threads:

And Josh Richardson modeled the jersey at the event:

An official announcement about the uniform will come tomorrow. I’m mostly just glad it reads Philadelphia (a thing people actually say), and not Phila (something no one has ever said in the history of this city dating back to all men are created equal).
What are your thoughts on the new threads?
