During the Philadelphia 76ers’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday evening, Joel Embiid and Karl Anthony-Towns got into a fight:

The incident required both players to be restrained by multiple players and coaches. Once the scuffle was over, Embiid and Towns both received ejections and that’s very likely not the only playing time the two will miss as a result of their actions. Bobby Marks of ESPN weighed in:

Apparently, neither player did much cooling off following the game. Towns tweeted the following in response to the incident:

Towns also made a post on Instagram with the same text and the bottom right photo from above of Embiid crying after last season’s playoff loss. Embiid didn’t take too kindly to that, commenting the following on the image:

Joel wasn’t done yet. He took to Twitter and sent out the following:

This is getting out of hand. I mean don’t get me wrong, I am thoroughly enjoying the drama and the trolling. The beef with Towns has easily elevated to Embiid’s best. But the insults being traded by the two in the social media posts are intense and it has the potential to make things worse for both Embiid and Towns when the league is determining their suspensions. Maybe someone got that message to Joel:

One final troll for his haters. Never change Joel.
