NBA Opening Night Thread: Pelicans vs. Raptors, Lakers vs. Clippers

NBA: Preseason-Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

It is finally here: Opening Night for the 2019-20 NBA season. We’ve got two games on the slate tonight. The New Orleans Pelicans head north to take on the Toronto Raptors for the first game of the evening. The second game of Opening Night will be the Los Angeles Lakers against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Notes: The much-anticipated debut of Zion Williamson will have to wait. He’s out vs. the Raptors as the Pels will slowly bring him back after tweaking his knee in the preseason.

Notes: Paul George is not fully healthy and will miss, including tonight, at least a handful of games as head coach Doc Rivers recently told the media that George “is not going to be here for the first 10” games.
