According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, newly acquired Sixers wing Wilson Chandler will miss 2-3 weeks with a left hamstring injury suffered during last night’s preseason opener against Melbourne United.
The Sixers open the season in Boston in exactly two and a half weeks against the Celtics, so his status for that game is very much up in the air. The worst case scenario is likely that he misses the season opener in Boston on October 16th, and home opener against the Chicago Bulls on the 18th, and maybe the October 20th matchup with the Orlando Magic.
But hopefully all goes well and Chandler is ready for the opening night clash with the Celtics- lord knows the Sixers need as much help on the wing as they can get against Boston.
