Yes, it is only preseason, and yes the game is against a team that does not play in the NBA (Melbourne United of Australia’s NBL) — which actually makes things more intriguing, personally — but Markelle and Jo and Dario and Ben and JJ and the rest of squad will be hitting the court for real live basketball action.

What I’m watching for:

• Will Fultz attempt a 3-pointer?
• Has Joel perfected any post-moves?
• Ben Simmons passing. Man, I miss the guy’s court vision.
• Wilson Chandler is considered the Ersan Ilyasova replacement, but how will Brett Brown actually utilize Chandler?
• The Wells Fargo Center crowd shouting their first “MOOOOOOOOOSE!” when Mike Muscala hits his first 3-pointer.
