Delaware Blue Coats to give out Joel Embiid bobbleheads at home opener

The Delaware Blue Coats will play their first home game at the Wells Fargo Center on November 20th, 2018. If you chose to attend that game, and ditch getting that last minute beer or two in at Xfinity Live! before heading in to the arena, you could leave the game with a limited-edition Joel Embiid bobblehead (pictured above). Only the first 10,000 fans in through the turnstiles will be able to get their hands on one:

PHILADELPHIA – SEPT. 28, 2018 – The Delaware Blue Coats have officially unveiled a limited-edition Joel Embiid bobblehead promotion for the team’s first-ever home game on Tuesday, Nov. 20 when the Blue Coats take on the Canton Charge at 7:00 p.m. at The Center (3601 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia). The first 10,000 fans at the gate will receive the figurine of the 2018 NBA All-Star starter when doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Fans can access tickets in an exclusive presale opportunity now by becoming a Blue Coats Founding Member. Season memberships are available by calling 302-504-7587 or visiting SIXERS.COM/BlueCoats. Tickets for the game will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Oct. 3.

I’m not a huge bobblehead guy — though I do have one of Carlos Ruiz, Wayne Simmonds and Allen Iverson — but this is a pretty cool promotion. And not just the bobblehead giveaway: the Blue Coats playing at the Wells Fargo Center is likely to draw a pretty significant crowd for G-League basketball. Fans hoping to see a guy like Shake Milton playing on the Sixers home court can now do so probably sooner than expected.
