Edit: A previous version of this post stated that Molly Sullivan was relieved of her duties as sideline reporter by the Philadelphia 76ers. That is incorrect; Sullivan was employed by NBC Sports Philadelphia, who decided to part ways with her after the conclusion of the 2017-2018 season. The Sixers’ organization has nothing to do with personnel decisions made at NBCSP.
NBC Sports Philadelphia has announced that Serena Winters will be the new Sixers sideline reporter, while also writing across the team’s myriad of digital platforms.
I’ve joined @NBCSPhilly as the new @Sixers reporter. You can find me reporting on the sidelines, or on pre-game/post-game shows, or on the web or anywhere else you consume your #Sixers content! pic.twitter.com/UM8hh1KJX6

Winters joins NBC Sports Philly after having most recently hosted a nightly sports television show, The Bridge, for NBC Sports Northwest in Portland. Prior to that gig, she was a reporter for Spectrum SportsNet, covering the Lakers, and a reporter and video director at LakersNation.com.
The Sixers sideline reporter position has been vacant since NBCSP parted ways with fan favorite Molly Sullivan back in June. People were surprised by the move, both because Sullivan was excellent at her job and because she had been with the team throughout the lean Process years. Fortunately for Philadelphia sports fans, Sullivan has remained in town as a reporter for the Eagles.
Now, it’ll be Marc, Alaa, and Serena taking us on a journey as the Sixers try and cement themselves as perennial Eastern Conference contenders. Welcome to the team, Serena!
First point of order: establish a rapport with the players quickly so we can be treated to more classic clips from the Sixers bench.
