The Philadelphia 76ers haven’t done anything yet this offseason in terms of on-court personnel, but NBC Sports Philadelphia has made a significant move.
Molly Sullivan -- the sideline reporter for Sixers broadcasts the last six years -- was laid off today. Per Molly’s Twitter:
After six years as the sideline reporter for the @sixers, I have been informed that @NBCSPhilly is moving in a ‘new direction’ that does not include me...heartbreaking. I plan to write more. (Soon). Until then, thank you all for the memories.

Sullivan returned to the Sixers in 2012 to do sideline reporting after stints with E! News and reporting gigs in Los Angeles, San Antonio, and Honolulu. She also filled in for Craig Sager four times for TNT and worked as a fill in on the NBA on ESPN.
Whatever “new direction” NBC Sports Philly takes will be a challenging one for hometown fans as Sullivan is beloved by Sixers faithful.
Best of luck wherever the wind blows you, Molly.
