Liberty Ballers’ 2018 NBA Playoffs Open Thread - May 6

The two Eastern Conference series are all but decided. Today’s Western Conference matchups are a bit more competitive.

Game 3 was the “Ian Clark Game” (18 points on 7-for-11 shooting) as the Pelicans held serve at home. No Warriors reserve scored more than six points on Friday, but that was probably an outlier more than anything else. Anthony Davis is good for somewhere on the order of 30/14, and Rondo is going to chip in 10-plus assists, so Golden State has their work cut out for them if they plan to head back to The Town up 3-1

Friday’s game wasn’t particularly close as the Rockets continued to keep Donovan Mitchell in check. In Game 3, we saw the version of Houston that many think can knock off the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. But to do that, they’ll need to shoot better than the 11-for-36 that they managed from beyond the arc in the last game.
