There was an 87 percent chance that the Philadelphia 76ers would end the night with the No. 10 pick and, lo and behold, that’s exactly where they’ll select in next month’s NBA Draft.
Congratulations to the Phoenix Suns for landing the No. 1 selection - entering tonight, they had just a 25 percent chance to win the lottery. The Sacramento Kings will pick second, while the Atlanta Hawks will select third.
While the Suns and their fanbase are just beginning the Luka Doncic/DeAndre Ayton debate, we (Sixers’ fans/Liberty Ballers staff/people who just hang out here for the jokes) will spend the better part of the next five weeks wondering whether or not Mikal Bridges, Miles Bridges, Collin Sexton and/or Mo Bamba will fall to the Sixers at 10.
That pick, of course, used to be the property of the Los Angeles Lakers (via the Phoenix Suns), so none of this would have been possible if the Milwaukee Bucks weren’t enamored with Michael Carter-Williams back in 2015 (imagine that).
And, let’s not forget, the Sixers also have their own first-round pick as well (No. 26 overall - will probably be used on a Euro stash).
So... who do you want the Sixers to pick at No. 10? Let the debate begin in the comments below.
