Liberty Ballers’ 2018 NBA Playoffs Open Thread - April 27

In a trio of Game 6 matchups, three teams face win-or-go-home scenarios tonight.

NBA: Playoffs-Indiana Pacers at Cleveland Cavaliers David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

(1) Toronto Raptors at (8) Washington Wizards - 7:00 PM ET, ESPNEWS

Toronto closed Game 5 on a 26-11 run to take a 3-2 lead in their series over the Washington Wizards. This, despite the fact that the Raptors were crushed on the glass 50-35 on Wednesday. But let’s keep it real: The only way the Wizards win is if John Wall and Bradley Beal perform like the All-Star caliber guards that they are.

(4) Cleveland Cavaliers at (5) Indiana Pacers - 8:00 PM ET, ESPN

If Victor Oladipo continues to shoot like he has in the past three games (12-for-50), then Cleveland might close this out tonight. Then again, the Cavs have needed superhuman efforts from LeBron Raymone James just to get this far, so who knows what to expect tonight. That said, the Cavs have won 13 straight closeout games dating back to 2009.

(4) Oklahoma City Thunder at (5) Utah Jazz - 10:30 PM ET, ESPN

In their Game 5 victory, the Oklahoma City Thunder completely eliminated a 25-point third quarter deficit entirely thanks to the efforts of Russell Westbrook and Paul George (can we call him Playoff P again?). That said, it would have been a totally different game if Rudy Gobert wasn’t in foul trouble, and if the “Stifle Tower” can stay on the floor for 35-plus minutes tonight, then the upstart Jazz can punch their ticket to the conference semifinals.
