Sixers Heat: Game 2 Preview/Start Time

Will the Sixers be able to keep things rolling without Joel Embiid?

NBA: Playoffs-Miami Heat at Philadelphia 76ers Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

It’s Round 2 in South Philly tonight as the red hot Philadelphia 76ers will once again play host to the Miami Heat. News broke yesterday that the Sixers will have to play Game 2 without the services of Joel Embiid, as he will sit out another game due to his orbital fracture.

No Joel was no struggle for the Sixers squad Saturday night as they shot 64% from distance and kept the Heat starters in check the entire game.

However, the Sixers can’t relax and expect that this Heat team will stay quiet. Although Wade, Whiteside, Johnson, and Dragic had subpar games, the Sixers were burnt by none other than Kelly Olynyk who cahsed in for 26 points, and was the one real bright spot for the Heat when it was all said and done.

The Sixers have to make sure they come out in this game with the same intensity as they did in Game 1. Covington and Simmons’ defense especially was locked in from tip to the final whistle, they’re gonna need that same drive tonight against what should be a better Heat effort.

But, if Marco, JJ, and Ersan can keep shooting like they have been, then it should be smooth sailing again.
