The Sixers are good the Sixers are good! There are nine games left and the Sixers are good!
On the afternoon of March 28th, the Philadelphia 76ers sit just a half a game back of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference. There’s a chance this electric Sixers squad could jump in to sole possession of 3rd tonight with a win over the New York Knickerbockers, and a Cavalier loss to the Charolette Hornets (in Charolette).
South Philadelphia is in for another treat tonight as the Sixers, and Markelle Fultz are hosting the tanking Knicks. Whether you were for or against Fultz coming back and playing this season, it’s an undeniably good thing that he’s playing his first “real” games against some subpar teams. This will allow him to get his legs under him and adjust to the speed of the NBA and prepare (as much as he can) before the playoffs.
In case you forgot what happened the last time these two teams faced off in Philly...
This game should be no problem for the red hot Sixers, as the Knicks have lost 12 out of their last 15 and have shown few signs of trying to compete. However, the Sixers shouldn’t take any game lightly and should go in to this matchup determined to mercilessly defeat the Knicks.
This could (and should) be a game where the starters get some rest towards the end of the game, so if the deep bench can for once hold (or even extend) the lead, the would just be sooooooo nice.
And I’m not sure about the rest of you guys, but I’m still smiling ear to ear after their second half performance on Monday night. Let’s keep the good vibes rolling.
