Sixers-Magic Post-Game Thread

A place for the LB community to talk about the 116-105 win over the Magic.

NBA: Orlando Magic at Philadelphia 76ers Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Sixers beat the Orlando Magic by a score of 116-105 this early evening. It was a slow start, but with an energy infusion in the form of Richaun Holmes, the Sixers were able to gain control of the game. They took the lead with 2:54 remaining in the first quarter and never gave it back. Embiid was strong offensively with 28 points and 14 rebounds and all five of the Sixers’ starters finished with double-digit points. With this win, the Sixers extend their winning streak to seven games.

Aaron Gordon had a good night for the Magic, finishing with a stat line of 20-7-7. He shot 50% from the three-point line and the Magic shot 42% from 3 as a team. Mario Hezonja continued his strong offensive play off the bench with 13 points.

BOX SCORE

I’m going to put up a detailed recap later tonight or tomorrow morning featuring highlights, postgame thoughts, and maybe a gif or two (it is Social Night after all). I wanted the LB community to have a place to enjoy this win together, and revel in all of Joel Embiid’s finger-wagging glory. Please let me know in the comments if you like this approach, or prefer a quick recap going up shortly after the game.
