According to a Sixers press release, Mike Muscala is listed as out with a nose fracture and facial laceration, and will be re-evaluated in one week:
STATEMENT FROM PHILADELPHIA 76ERS VICE PRESIDENT OF ATHLETE CARE DR. DANIEL MEDINA:
NOV. 7, 2018 – Mike Muscala suffered a nose fracture and facial laceration during Tuesday’s practice as a result of a collision with a teammate. He received six stitches for the laceration and will wear a protective mask for the nose fracture once he is cleared to return to play. He is out and will be re-evaluated in approximately one week.
The Sixers are already banged up, so this is going to hurt, especially given the team’s slow start. The good news is that, as someone who has broken their nose I can tell you that the injury heals quickly.
Our Steve Lipman commented in our slack chat that now would be a good time to rev up the small-ball lineup experimentations. I agree, and hope to see as much. But a problem with that is that Robert Covington is a game time decision tonight, so sticking Covington on fours may not be an option.
