For an explanation of what constitutes a Bell Ringer, please reference the initial post.
Bell Ringer Season Standings: JJ Redick - 2; Ben Simmons - 1; Joel Embiid - 1.
The Sixers fell 123-108 in Milwaukee; in a lackluster SEGABABA effort, there were not many worthy candidates of Bell Ringer honors.
Joel Embiid: 30 points, 19 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks
Embiid did not have what could objectively be considered a good game. Brook Lopez did a fairly good job defending Joel and forcing him into a poor shooting night. The crowd chanted “flopper” at him after he was fined for his dramatic scene against Drummond a night earlier. And yet, he scored at least 30 points for the fourth straight game, and had the type of stat line only a handful of players in the league could even think about reaching. I’m very encouraged by how much more aware Embiid is of finding his teammates when he has the ball; it’s a more controlled experience for him offensively. Best of all, though, Embiid played the second night of a back-to-back and it was just a normal Wednesday.

Ben Simmons: 14 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 steal
I’ll never get over how stupid the line of over/under 0.5 Ben Simmons triple-doubles was during his rookie season, because nights like this remind me how easily he comes by them. Returning from a one-game absence due to back tightness, Simmons tallied his second triple-double of the young season. He wasn’t especially effective scoring the basketball in the half court, and his foul shooting looked bad, but the court vision was as sublime as ever.

JJ Redick: 19 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists
Redick stayed hot from the outside, shooting 3-8 from behind the arc and drawing yet another foul on a three-point attempt. Watching him whip around a screen at 100 mph and somehow gather his body to go up for a controlled jumper is truly witnessing a master of his craft. I also continue to be impressed by the additional bit of playmaking within Redick’s game, as he’s using his black hole-magnitude court gravity to find open teammates to great effect.
SPLASH.
