Sixers fans and Process Trusters can breathe sighs of relief. After the disconcerting news that Joel Embiid had still not been cleared to play 5-on-5 basketball in the lead up to Sixers’ training camp, concerns about whether he can ever stay healthy grew steadily louder.
Hopefully those have been somewhat quieted today, as he participated in half-court scrimmages at the Sixers’ training camp today.

Sorry, let me try that again:
JOEL EMBIID PLAYED 5-ON-5 BASKETBALL TODAY. EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE FINE. WOOOOOOO!!!
This is welcome news for a Sixers’ team that has seen too many injuries lag on far beyond what was originally expected. It’s the first step toward Embiid’s availability for the first game of the season and hopeful improved health going forward.
