Even though he plays for the most evil soccer club in the world and will get no sympathy from this Liverpool supporter, Paul Pogba is generally pretty damn good at what he does. The Manchester United midfielder was bought for the largest transfer fee in history last summer, and at just 24 years old, his best days are still ahead of him.
But as Joel Embiid proved in this brief clip, he should probably stick to his day job. Or, at the very least, take his next crack on the hardwood against a guard. Embiid towers over him, and he was able to easily muscle past him for a dunk, woofing at Pogba after completing the flush.
Embiid’s video appears to be a response to Pogba’s own IG vid, posted earlier Monday afternoon, in which he nails a shot over an outstretched Embiid. The gregarious center was then seen loudly protesting the outcome.
Embiid and Pogba have been spending a decent amount of time together recently. A couple days back, Embiid shared a picture of the duo hanging out in California, as the soccer star tours through America for Man U’s preseason warm-up run.
I wouldn’t expect to see Pogba in a Philadelphia Union jersey any time soon, but if Embiid wants to start planting the seeds for Pogba to join him in the City of Brotherly Love another 10 years down the line, by all means, do your thing Jojo.
