Due to some poor polling decisions on behalf of the selection committee of one—can’t blame this one on the Russians, unfortunately—we are going to run it back today to allow you all a chance to vote for the real winner of the community big board. Malik Monk is going to be included alongside the rest of the names who were in the original vote for No. 3, and we’ll see how it turns out.
I mentioned this in the comments yesterday, but feel free to gather all your tomatoes and assorted throwable objects to toss at Jake for putting Lauri Markkanen in the poll over Monk. Markkanen barely grabbed one percent of the vote in the first go-round, which is roughly equivalent to the percentage of rebounds he’ll grab when he’s on the court in the NBA, I think.
Josh Jackson is the “best player available” here, and I will continue to bang the drum for him until he’s off the board, but the results of the alternative poll we ran yesterday were too strong to ignore.
So here’s your chance to vote again. Don’t screw it up!
