The Basketball Tournament, and our incessant nagging for you to help vote us into it, has become somewhat of a time-honored tradition on Liberty Ballers. Jake Pavorsky did a great job getting the squad off the ground and competitive the past two summers, and a lot of that wouldn’t have been possible without the help of you, the readers, getting our name out there.
Well, we’re back, and we’re hoping this team can be the most exciting Liberty Ballers squad yet. Jake has moved on to greener pastures as an intern for The Tournament this summer, so I’m taking the reins as GM. I want to thank him for building up the asset base that he did, and cultivating the winning culture we have here at LB.
In all seriousness, I’m looking forward to putting a roster together that we can all be proud of, and frankly I think it’s well on its way. We’re excited to be able to bring Sixers legend Chu Chu Maduabum (!!!) into the fold this summer, and just as psyched for the roster moves still to come.
Until then, as I’m sure many of you know by now, we need your help. We need 100 votes to be tournament-eligible, and even more to have a real shot at cracking the Northeast regional bracket. Please vote for us on our team page here.
If Liberty Ballers wins TBT, the 100 fans who have recruited the most voters split a share of $200,000. So you’ll want to be in on the ground floor for this if things break right.
We want back in, and we want to take another shot at the $2 million prize.
