The countdown to 3 p.m. is officially on.
General manager Bryan Colangelo has already made one move, but as of right now Jahlil Okafor is still on the Sixers roster. Hang out with us here all day as we keep you updated on different Sixers rumors, and hopefully a trade.
Here’s what happened so far:
- Ersan Ilyasova was traded for Tiago Splitter and two second round picks. The Sixers apparently plan on keeping Splitter through the rest of the season, which could signal that they expect to trade Okafor.
- Speaking of an Okafor trade, the Bulls are reportedly interested in acquiring the Chicago native. Add Indiana to the list of interested teams as well.
- Paul George might be on the trade market, and Kyle Neubeck writes that the Sixers should get involved.
Enjoy the day!
UPDATE (8:37 am): Surprise! Jahlil Okafor’s preferred destination is Chicago, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.
UPDATE (9:03 am):
Bulls have shown no inclination to this point of including 1st rd pick, along w/ player, 76ers have been seeking for Okafor. Niko available.
