Though the twitter #NBAVote voting for the All-Star Game doesn’t begin in full until 11AM on Christmas Day (along with Facebook/Google/Alexa/etc.) you can now fill out your ballot on the NBA’s website and app.
Both Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid have legitimate shots to make the squad this year through voting alone (fans, media, and players) before the remainder are selected by head coaches. This year, after the 24 total All-Stars are selected, they’ll be drafted onto teams by the top fan-vote-getters in each conference, setting up a situation where we could get Russ vs. KD, Bron vs. Kyrie, Simmons vs. Embiid.
And for those wondering about how Ben Simmons would be classified, he’s listed as a guard. Guards only have two spots in the starting five, while “frontcourt” players get three, likely making Ben’s road to the game by vote a little harder.
Voting is open until 11:59:59PM on January 15, 2018.
