Jerryd Bayless is the Dreaded “Out Indefinitely”

NBA: Houston Rockets at Philadelphia 76ers Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

In the shuffle of yesterday’s pre-game and terrible Roy Halladay news, I somehow missed that Jerryd Bayless has achieved a pretty impressive accomplishment: For the second straight year, Bayless is now out indefinitely.

Last season, Bayless has some wrist soreness that turned into (a.k.a was all along) season-ending ligament damage in his left wrist. The good news, according to Keith Pompey, is that while this is the same wrist, there is no ligament damage, just “swelling [that] has not gone down on the wrist he bruised Friday.” He missed last night’s game and he’ll miss tomorrow night’s in Sacramento before being reevaluated. That’s always gone well.

Furkan Korkmaz, on the G-League yo-yo, has been recalled for the roadtrip, but he’s yet to make an NBA appearance this year.
