Yesterday Brett Brown announced that Joel Embiid’s minutes restriction (or guideline, or whatever) for tomorrow’s season opener would be somewhere in the teens. Embiid seemed caught off guard by this information and today I had to struggle to find a safe-for-work edit of his response to the decision:
Embiid on restrictions-"That's f---ing BS.I wish I was playing more min.I think I'm ready for more than I don't know whatever no. they have"

Embiid went on to say that you have to trust the doctors (somehow) and “they're making a decision based on what they think,” before adding once more that he thinks the decision is bull. His passion is commendable, but with the Sixers’ string of luck sometimes playing it safe to start is the best move. At some point you have to take the pads off and just let him play ball, but I’m fine with that not necessarily being tomorrow.
