After today’s impressive performance against the Cleveland Browns, Carson Wentz has immediately vaulted himself to the top of the Philadelphia rookie rankings, and two fellow first-year players were at Lincoln Financial Field to watch.
Joel Embiid (yes, he still counts as a rookie) and Ben Simmons showed up with head coach Brett Brown to watch the Eagles season debut. The Sixers rookies were shown on the big screen, and received a thunderous roar of applause.

Simmons and Embiid both seemed to be impressed with Wentz, who finished with 278 passing yards and two touchdowns.

And like any normal fan with incredible seats and a Twitter account, Simmons offered to run on the field if his followers came through with one billion retweets.

He was so close.
You have to love the sense of humor from Simmons, and the fact that the players are out supporting their fellow Philadelphia athletes. But when you can get a view like that, why wouldn’t you?
