In what may be the most intriguing game on the entire Las Vegas Summer League slate, the Philadelphia 76ers take on the Los Angeles Lakers at the Thomas & Mack Center Saturday evening. The Sixers are expected to be at full strength, with first-round picks Ben Simmons and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot making their LLas Vegas debuts.. Simmons played two games in Utah Summer League, averaging 8.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and a league-high 5.5 assists per game. Luwawu-Cabarrot averaged 11.0 points and 4.5 rebounds. Joining the team in Vegas are summer league veterans Jerami Grant and Nik Stauskas.
The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off a definitive 85-65 win over the New Orleans Pelicans in their first LVSL game, and their young talent certainly shined. D'Angelo Russell finished with 20 points (7-12 FG), 11 rebounds, and 6 assists, and second overall pick Brandon Ingram added 12 points and 4 rebounds of his own.
This is a game you won't want to miss.
