Just what the NBA needs -- more legacy kids! Domantas Sabonis won the 26th spot on the Community Big Board, grabbing 33 percent of the vote to ward off Deyonta Davis (22 percent).
Sabonis had some standout performances against top-tier prospects in this draft -- look no further than his bullying of Washington's Marquese Chriss in the Bahamas -- but he's not coming anywhere near Philadelphia. Decent prospect, not anything close to a good fit with the Sixers.
Frankly, the pickins are slim at this point. If you want players who fit, you're taking a major value hit. If you want the best talent, they're nearly all consolidated in the paint, an area where the Sixers are already loaded.
We'll throw in Virginia's Malcolm Brogdon this round. Brogdon had a decorated career at Virginia, but he's got a troubling set of mechanics and not a ton of athleticism to speak of. He's efficient offensively and a worker on the defensive end, so perhaps he's able to overcome some of his weaknesses and carve out a niche.
I'll continue to stan for Caris LeVert, though the best value left is Deyonta Davis for a country mile. Show me what you got.
