You know that saying kids dread hearing from their parents, "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed"? Forget that, because disappointment is not a strong enough word for my reaction this afternoon. Human YouTube mix Thon Maker grabbed the 18th spot on the Community Big Board for reasons that will probably never be clear to me, and we're left to pick up the pieces here at LB.
Nothing against the young fella, but I have trouble understanding how a guy who wasn't one of the three best big men in the poll managed to win out. He's not a fit, he's two years away from being two years away, and I'm not sure he has all that high of a chance to cash in on his potential. It appears the electorate was content to chase that fringe chance of wild success.
If you can talk yourselves into Maker, perhaps I should just start putting LB writers in the poll and talking up our potential. Brandon Lee Gowton is a large human being with elite football-blogging tools, Mike Levin's sitcom prowess is second to none, and I am one of the fastest bad Photoshop makers in the game.
