After briefly losing their minds by selecting Malachi Richardson as the 14th best prospect in this year's draft class, the community got back on track by voting for Marquette power forward Henry Ellenson. The one year wonder took home 26 percent of the votes, and Baylor's Taurean Prince placed second with 18 percent of the vote.
Ellenson also placed 15th on the Liberty Ballers staff big board, although I personally ranked him fifth. He recently played a game of one-on-one with Jimmy Butler, and although Butler beat him pretty good, the 19-year-old was showing off a pretty smooth three-point shot from NBA range. In the slightly adjusted words of Kendrick Lamar, "He gon' be alright".
Let me put my vote behind Taurean Prince for this round. Great three-point shooter, solid defender, and a good finisher around the rim. He's got a lower ceiling than someone like Isaia Cordinier, but should be able to step in the NBA immediately and make an impact. He could very easily have a Robert Covington-like role for 5-7 years.
We'll throw Gonzaga's Domantas Sabonis in the mix for this round.
