Sam Hinkie Steps Down As Sixers General Manager, Team Will Target Bryan Colangelo

New, comments

April 6th marks the official death of the process.

The Process has officially come to a bizarre, oddly timed end. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, Sixers president and general manager Sam Hinkie has stepped down from his duties with the Philadelphia 76ers.

The news comes just one day after he appeared on Zach Lowe's podcast, and mentioned the wear and tear this season has caused him. We'll have more on this story as it develops, but the timing of it is rather shocking. Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting the Sixers will now target Bryan Colangelo, son of Sixers chairman of basketball Jerry Colangelo, as the team's new general manager.

Jerry Colangelo has officially taken full grasp of the Sixers reins. God bless us all.
